About Ring The Bell

Each of us has been designed for a purpose. Sometimes, the flow of events and the sheer pace of life cause us to miss out on what is most important. Ring the bell will help you reflect on your life’s mission and purpose. Recently, a CEO of a small company forwarded a message after reading Ring the Bell. He captured the essence of a challenge everyone faces in some dimension of life. This is especially true in business, as business people are confronted daily with the challenge of striking a balance between meeting expectations in driving results and doing things right.

His note settled on a bottom-line that does not appear on any income statement when he wrote:

The question is; if we don’t win this battle, what have we won?

Your life’s mission or purpose is bigger than any quarterly objective in business or short-term pursuit in any other walk of life. Ironically, understanding this and striking a healthy balance in the process, makes us far more effective in the important areas of our life. Tapping into your purpose will improve everything else you do as a parent, spouse, sibling, friend, fellow citizen or leader. God put us here to serve others in a way that only we are equipped to serve. Connecting with what counts is critical. What counts is the impact we have on others as we play the role the Lord has designed each of us to play. We must do our best to do our best. He will provide.
